COURSE DESCRIPTION (catalog description)
An experience external to the college for an advanced student in a specialized field involving a written agreement between the educational institution and a business or industry. Mentored and supervised by a workplace employee, the student achieves objectives that are developed and documented by the college and that are directly related to specific occupational outcomes. This may be a paid or unpaid experience. This course may be repeated if topics and learning outcomes vary.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
The objectives may vary according to student and industrial needs.
The final grade will be determined by the workplace employee who is the students mentor and supervisor.
Attendance is critical to success and excessive absences and tardiness may result in being dropped from the internship and given a final grade of F. This would be determined by the industrial supervisor. The particular policies on attendance and tardiness will be determined by the supervisor and the student informed of the company policy at the beginning of the internship.
